Samuel Ringgold

Biography

Samuel Ringgold was born in 1770 and lived through the formation of the new nation, tending his household near Fountain Rock while witnessing the ebb and flow of early American society.

He was laid to rest at Fountain Rock Cemetery, where those who followed remembered him for bearing the burdens of his era with measured resolve.
