Biography
Samuel Robinson was born in 1738 and lived during one of the most transformative periods in American history. As a resident of Bennington, he was part of the community that helped establish Vermont as an independent state and contributed to the development of the early republic.
Robinson's seventy-five years of life connected him to multiple generations and witnessed the evolution from colonial times through the establishment of American independence. He was laid to rest in Old Bennington Cemetery, a place that honors the memory of those who helped build Vermont and the nation.
