Samuel Rose Parkinson

Biography

Samuel Rose Parkinson, born in 1831, made his home in the Franklin vicinity, where he lent a steady hand to the fields and civic needs of the locality. He nurtured relationships that crossed generations, always prepared to listen and to offer a measured word of encouragement.

In 1919 he was laid to rest at Franklin Cemetery, where those who knew him remember a generous heart and a patience that calmed many storms.
