Samuel Salisbury (1739–1818) was a long-lived member of Boston's eighteenth-century society. His life extended from the colonial period through the early decades of American independence, allowing him to witness the profound transformations of his era.

Salisbury lived through the American Revolution and saw the establishment of the new republic. His burial at King's Chapel Burying Ground reflects his standing within Boston's historic community and his connection to the city's enduring legacy.
