Samuel Stedman Glyde (1873–1949) was a man who lived through the late nineteenth and mid-twentieth centuries in Australia. He witnessed the nation's development from federation through to the post-World War II era, contributing to his community during a transformative period in Australian history.
Glyde's long life of seventy-six years reflected the extended lifespans becoming more common in the twentieth century. He was interred at Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth, joining many other notable figures from Western Australia's past in this historic burial ground.
