Samuel Whitaker Pennypacker was born in 1843 and answered a call to public service, devoting himself to the responsibilities entrusted to him for the good of the people.

His steady leadership and commitment to civic improvements left a lasting impression on Morris and beyond, and he rests now in Morris Cemetery among those he served.
