Sarah Perkins Dalliba, who arrived in the world in 1824, knew both the challenges and the quiet joys of a long life spanning much of the nineteenth century. She held her community close, lending a listening ear and a compassionate heart to friends and neighbors in the area surrounding Grove Street Cemetery.
