Sarah Thompson

Biography

Sarah Thompson was a woman of the Hudson Valley who lived during the early nineteenth century. Born in 1777, she witnessed the founding of the American nation and the early development of the republic during her lifetime in Poughkeepsie.

Thompson passed away in 1833 and was buried in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, where she remains part of the community's enduring history and heritage.
