Biography
George "Schoolboy" Rowe became one of baseball's charismatic right-handers, earning twenty-win seasons with the Detroit Tigers, a World Series appearance, and a reputation for grit on the mound during the 1930s.
After serving his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II, he remained a cherished mentor to young pitchers and is remembered for his warmth and good humor, resting now at Arlington Memorial Park.
