Biography
Sergei Bulgakov (1871–1944) was a prominent Russian religious thinker, theologian, and political figure who played an important role in Russian intellectual life during the early 20th century. His work bridged philosophy, theology, and political thought, contributing significantly to Orthodox Christian theology and Russian religious philosophy.
Following the Russian Revolution, Bulgakov emigrated to Paris, where he continued his theological writings and teaching. He became a leading voice in the Russian émigré community and a respected figure in Orthodox theological circles. Bulgakov spent his final years in France, where he was ultimately laid to rest in the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, a final resting place for many influential Russian exiles.
