Biography

Sergey Glinka (1775–1847) was a prominent Russian writer and man of letters who contributed significantly to the literary culture of his era. His works reflected the intellectual currents of late 18th and early 19th-century Russia, engaging with themes of national identity and cultural significance.

Glinka's career spanned the tumultuous decades following the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars, during which Russian literature flourished. He was interred at Volkovo Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, a final resting place befitting his status as a respected literary figure of his generation.
