Biography
Sergey Makovsky was a distinguished Russian poet and literary figure whose work contributed significantly to Russian cultural and intellectual life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His literary talents and editorial endeavors helped shape Russian modernist movements.
Following the Russian Revolution, Makovsky became part of the Russian émigré community in Paris, where he continued his literary work. He was laid to rest in the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, a sanctuary for many accomplished members of the Russian diaspora.
