Biography
Shmuel Hefter was a steadfast presence in the Kfar Giladi and Tel-Hai communities, where he devoted himself to the growth of the fledgling settlements and the shared defense and agricultural work that sustained them.
Until his passing in 1963 he was known for encouraging young pioneers, helping to maintain the sprawling orchards and farms, and nurturing the sense of solidarity that kept the communities resilient in times of challenge.
