Biography
From his roots in the Bronx, Sidney A. Fine forged a career in law before entering the U.S. House of Representatives, where he championed housing, infrastructure, and fair taxation for New Yorkers from 1949 through 1956.
He returned to serve his beloved city with the same diligence that marked his Congressional service, remaining active in civic life until illness; his life of public-mindedness is memorialized at Montefiore Cemetery.
