Sidney Edgerton

Biography

Sidney Edgerton, born in 1818, devoted his talents to law and public affairs before being called upon to lead the newly organized Montana Territory as its first governor, seeking always fairness and order.

He pursued the common good with calm determination, and his life of service is respectfully remembered by friends who visit Tallmadge Cemetery.
