Biography
Sidney Miles Toppin was a dedicated botanical collector whose work contributed to the scientific understanding of plant life. Born in 1878, he pursued his passion for botany and natural history during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Toppin gave his life in 1917 during the First World War, serving his country with honor. He was laid to rest at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among those who fell in that conflict.
