Silas Bryan

Biography

Silas Bryan, born in 1822, served as a judge in Illinois and offered a firm belief in the rule of law while guiding his family—including his son William Jennings Bryan—with careful counsel.

He died in 1880, and East Lawn Cemetery became the resting place of a man whose fairness left a deep impression on his neighbors.
