Silas Soule

Biography

Silas Soule, born in 1838, answered the call of conscience and courageously refused to participate in actions he believed unjust, sacrificing his own safety in defense of principle during a trying moment in our history.

He is honored by a grateful nation for the bravery he displayed and remains forever remembered by those who value freedom, his final rest within Riverside Cemetery.
