Biography

Silas Woodson was born in 1819 and rose to prominence as Missouri’s governor, a lawyer deeply committed to justice who guided his state through the challenges of Reconstruction.

Ever a champion for those whose voices were too often unheard, he now finds eternal rest at Mount Mora Cemetery, leaving behind a legacy of courage and principle.
