Simcha Bunim of Peshischa (1765–1827) was a prominent Jewish rabbi and spiritual leader who played a significant role in the development of Hasidic thought during the early 19th century. Known for his profound teachings and philosophical contributions to Jewish mysticism, he became an influential figure in the Polish Jewish community and attracted many devoted followers.

Rabbi Simcha Bunim's legacy extends through his students and the teachings he left behind, which continue to influence Jewish spiritual practice. He is remembered as a bridge between traditional rabbinic scholarship and Hasidic innovation, having synthesized both approaches in his religious leadership. He was laid to rest in the Jewish cemetery in Przysucha, a site that became a place of pilgrimage for his admirers.
