Biography
Simon Levin Bonheim was born in 1745 and lived through the latter part of the 18th century as a member of Berlin's Jewish community. He witnessed and experienced the gradual changes in the status and circumstances of Jewish residents in Prussia during his lifetime.
He was laid to rest at the Jüdischer Friedhof Berlin-Mitte in 1812, where his grave remains a part of the historical record of Berlin's Jewish heritage and the families who shaped the community.
