Biography
Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 7th Baronet, represented the aristocratic traditions of nineteenth-century England. Born in 1843, he inherited his baronetcy and the responsibilities that accompanied his elevated station in society.
His life was cut short in 1872, and he was interred in the Church of St Michael in Benacre, where his memory is preserved as part of the local and family heritage.
