Biography

Sir Graham Moore was a distinguished naval officer and diarist whose career spanned the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Born in 1764, he witnessed and participated in some of the most significant naval events of his era, including the Napoleonic Wars, and his detailed diaries provide valuable historical insights into life at sea and in society during this transformative period.

Moore's contributions to naval history and his meticulous documentation of events made him an important figure in British maritime tradition. He was interred at the Church of St Andrew in Cobham, where his memory is honored as both a naval hero and a chronicler of his times.
