Biography

Sir Henry Day Ingilby, 2nd Baronet (1826–1911), stewarded the Ripley Hall estates with an even hand, supporting the fabric of All Saints Church while attending to the needs of tenants and villagers.

He is still recalled in Ripley for his courtesy, and the church that stands today bears witness to the reverence he held for that corner of Derbyshire.
