Biography

Sir Herbert Archer Croft, 10th Baronet, embodied the responsibilities of his title with a sincere care for the parish and estates entrusted to him, encouraging a sense of duty and hospitality among those who looked to the Croft family for guidance. He balanced tradition with a desire to see the local community thrive, supporting parishioners and neighbours through personal example.

When he died in 1915 he was laid to rest at the Church of St Michael in Croft, where generations can pause to remember a man who treasured the place he called home.
