Biography
Sir John Dutton Colt, 4th Baronet (1774–1845), was a member of the English gentry who maintained the traditions and responsibilities of his baronetcy throughout his lifetime. As a titled landowner, he played a role in the social and civic life of his community during the Georgian and early Victorian periods.
Sir John's legacy is preserved in the records of his family and his local community. He was laid to rest at the Church of St Michael in Hill, where his memory remains among the notable burials of that parish.
