Sir Roger Kerrison

Biography

Sir Roger Kerrison (1740–1808) was a prominent banker and man of business who accumulated considerable wealth and influence during the late 18th century. As a banker, he would have been involved in the financial networks that supported commerce and industry during a period of economic expansion and the early stages of industrialisation in England.

Sir Roger's financial acumen and business dealings earned him a knighthood, reflecting his importance to the commercial and social life of his time. He was buried in the Church of St Margaret in Kirstead, where his monument stands as a testament to his success and standing in his community.
