Smith A. Boughton

Biography

Smith A. Boughton (1810–1888) carried the dignity of the early nineteenth century into the latter decades of the era, always preparing the way for those who followed. Though many particulars of his life remain private, his name endures with a calm reserve befitting a thoughtful citizen.

He is honored by those who remember him, and his final rest is at Sand Lake Union Cemetery.
