Biography
Snooky Young was a master trumpeter whose crisp tone and command of the high register made him a sought-after force in big bands and studio orchestras for more than half a century. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he rose to prominence with the Count Basie Orchestra, later joining the Tonight Show Band, where his solos delighted millions of viewers nightly.
