Biography
Sofya Pevtsova (1782–1852) was a woman of the Russian gentry who lived through the tumultuous early decades of the 19th century. She witnessed the Napoleonic Wars and the subsequent development of Imperial Russian society.
Pevtsova was laid to rest at the Vvedenskoye Cemetery, a burial ground that served as the final resting place for many notable members of Russian society. Her life spanned seven decades of Russian history and cultural development.
