Biography

Solomon Bennett was a skilled copper engraver whose craftsmanship contributed to the artistic and commercial output of late 18th and early 19th century England. His work in this specialized trade reflected both technical expertise and artistic sensibility, producing engravings for various purposes and patrons.

Bennett lived to an advanced age, passing away in 1841. He was laid to rest at Fulham Road Jewish Cemetery, where he was remembered among the members of the Jewish community and artisans of his era.
