Solomon Schindler

Biography

Solomon Schindler (1842-1915) served faithfully as a rabbi and community leader, guiding his congregation through a period of growth and social change. An advocate for education and interfaith understanding, he worked to make religious traditions relevant to an evolving society.

His thoughtful sermons and quiet generosity left an impression on many, and he is honored at Temple Israel Cemetery.
