Solon O. Thacher (1830–1895) carried himself with quiet dignity throughout his life, engaging with the Oak Hill community as a thoughtful friend and neighbor.

The peaceful grounds of Oak Hill Cemetery now hold his memory, alongside others who also shaped the spirit of that community.
