Biography

Sophie Antoinette of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel was born in 1724 into one of the major German ducal families. As a member of the Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel dynasty, she occupied an important position in the German aristocracy during the 18th century and participated in the social and political life of the German nobility.

Sophie Antoinette's long life spanned much of the 18th century, witnessing significant changes in German political and social structures.
