Biography
Stanisław Sołtyk (1753–1831) was a prominent Polish politician whose career spanned the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. He witnessed and participated in the political developments of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during its final decades and the subsequent period of partition.
Sołtyk was laid to rest at the Saint Stanislaus church in Chlewiska, where he is commemorated. His life and political career represent an important chapter in the history of Polish governance and the struggle for national continuity during a period of profound historical change.
