Biography
Stanislav Minařík (1928–1991) was a Czech citizen born during the interwar period whose adult life unfolded during the communist era. Coming of age in the 1940s and 1950s, he witnessed the consolidation of communist rule in Czechoslovakia.
Minařík lived through the Prague Spring and the Soviet invasion of 1968, as well as the subsequent decades of normalized communist governance. His life ended in 1991, as the newly independent Czech Republic was beginning its democratic transition. He was laid to rest at Olšany Cemetery in Prague.
