Biography
Stefan May was a military officer born in 1890 who served Poland's armed forces with dedication. He was part of the generation of officers who worked to strengthen and professionalize the military during the interwar period.
May was killed in 1940 at Katyn, joining thousands of military personnel who lost their lives in this tragedy. He is commemorated at the Katyn Polish War Cemetery, a solemn place of remembrance for those who gave their lives in service to Poland.
