Štěpán Bačkora

Biography

Štěpán Bačkora was a prolific writer whose literary contributions enriched the cultural landscape of 19th-century Bohemia. Born in 1813, he devoted much of his long life to writing and literary endeavors that resonated with his contemporaries and contributed to Czech cultural development.

Bačkora's career spanned much of the century, and his written works left a lasting impression on Czech literature. He lived until 1887 and was honored with burial in Olšany Cemetery, remembered as a significant figure in the literary community.
