Biography

Stephen Adams lived an exceptionally long life, born in 1714 and witnessing nearly a century of American history. From the colonial period through the establishment of the new nation, he saw tremendous change and remained a constant presence in his community throughout his remarkable lifespan.

Adams was laid to rest at East Hill Cemetery in 1801 at the advanced age of 87, a testament to his longevity and the respect he commanded. His extended life allowed him to mentor multiple generations and leave an indelible mark on his community's development.
