Stephen Tillson

Biography

Stephen Tillson (1822-1884) belonged to a generation of Americans who balanced hopeful ambition with thoughtful care for home and hearth. Even though the nature of his work remains unknown, he gave of himself to the rhythms of daily life and the wellbeing of those around him.

He now rests in Onawa City Cemetery, where his life is honored as part of the town's shared history.
