Biography
Susana Weldon was born in 1776 and lived through the American Revolutionary War and the early decades of British expansion in India. She was part of the expatriate community in Calcutta during a transformative period in both world history and the development of the British Raj.
Susana lived to twenty-eight years of age before her death in 1804. Her interment at South Park Street Cemetery places her among the many individuals whose lives connected Europe and Asia during this pivotal era of colonial history.
