Biography
Szczepan Bońkowski was a Polish citizen whose life extended from the late nineteenth century into the post-World War II era. Born in 1879, he witnessed the restoration of Polish independence and the subsequent transformations of the twentieth century.
Bońkowski's long life spanned some of the most significant events in Polish history. He was laid to rest at Cmentarz Bródnowski in Warsaw, where he is remembered as a witness to Poland's modern historical journey.
