Biography
Tadeusz Baird was a renowned Polish composer whose innovative works significantly shaped twentieth-century classical music. Born in 1928, he developed a distinctive compositional style that evolved from neoclassicism toward more experimental techniques, earning him recognition as one of Poland's most important musical figures.
Throughout his career, Baird composed symphonies, concertos, chamber works, and vocal compositions that demonstrated his mastery of form and orchestration. His contributions to Polish culture were substantial, and he remains celebrated for expanding the expressive possibilities of contemporary classical music. He was laid to rest at Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw.
