Biography
Ted Swales blended an artist’s eye with an aviator’s nerve, bringing creativity to his life as a pilot and maintaining a vivid love of drawing even as he flew in challenging conditions.
He gave his life in 1945 while serving his country, and at Leopoldsburg War Cemetery his memory endures as both a courageous airman and a spirited creator.
