Biography
Temple Hardy (1765–1814) dedicated his life to the service of the nation, rising through the ranks of the Royal Navy and demonstrating steadiness both in stormy waters and during the tense blockades of long wars.
He earned the respect of those under his command and was remembered for the calm courage with which he led, his life finally commemorated within the solemn precincts of Exeter Cathedral.
