Biography

Theodor Magnus Fries (1832–1913) was a Swedish economist whose scholarly work and analysis contributed to economic thought and policy in Sweden. His expertise and insights were valued in academic and governmental circles, where his work informed important economic discussions.

Fries's intellectual contributions to economics are part of Sweden's intellectual heritage during the nineteenth century. He was laid to rest at Uppsala Old Cemetery, a place of distinction for Sweden's most accomplished scholars and public figures.
