Theodor Menkes
1906–1973 (age 67)
Biography
Theodor Menkes, born in 1906, studied architecture with a belief that buildings should honor both people and landscape, a principle he brought to his work in Sde Yehoshua (Kfar Samir).
He left behind modest yet enduring structures that framed community life, and he shared his craft with apprentices who came to know the patience behind every line and beam.
