Theodore Hardeen, younger brother of Harry Houdini, thrilled audiences around the world with escapes and illusions that combined bravura and technical skill, while also keeping the Houdini legacy alive.

He taught young magicians, served as president of the Society of American Magicians, and insisted that the art remain grounded in trust and respect between performer and public.
