Theodore Pepoon

Biography

Theodore Pepoon (1836–1910) devoted himself to the study of plants and the natural world, often roaming prairies and collecting specimens so that future generations might understand the richness of their local landscapes.

At Thayer Cemetery, patrons remember him as a thoughtful naturalist whose quiet curiosity inspired young observers to look closely at the world around them.
