Theophilus Chandler

Theophilus Chandler (1732–1816) lived a long life spanning eighty-four years during America's transformation from colonial times through the early republic. His extended life allowed him to witness profound changes in his nation and community.

Chandler was laid to rest at East Woodstock Cemetery following his death in 1816. His long life connected multiple generations and reflected the continuity of community life through a period of significant historical change.
